Capcom Unleashes "Resident Evil 5"...

Capcom, the developer/publisher of video games has announced that "Resident Evil 5" has shipped to North American retailers for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system.

"With record-breaking downloadable demo numbers on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, 'Resident Evil 5' is poised for a very successful launch," said Mona Hamilton, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment.

"The two-player co-op experience, variety of control options, new storyline and advanced inventory system have created a revolutionary new action-packed game that fans and newcomers to the series will love."

"From the ashes of old conflicts, a new terror arises. The Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained. But a new, more dangerous threat has emerged. Years after surviving the events in Raccoon City, Chris Redfield has been fighting the scourge of bio-organic weapons all over the world. Now a member of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), Chris is sent to Africa to investigate a biological agent that is transforming the populace into aggressive and disturbing creatures.
