"Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned" is the first of two planned episodic expansion packs for the Xbox 360 version of action video game "Grand Theft Auto IV", developed by Rockstar North.
The first pack will be released on Xbox Live, February 17, 2009.
Dan Houser, vice president creative development at Rockstar Games, said the episode features "a different side of Liberty City", while Rockstar Games said the episodes are 'experiments'.
Take-Two Interactive's Chief Financial Officer, Lainie Goldstein revealed Microsoft was paying a total of $50 million for the first two episodes.
Gameplay is similar to "Grand Theft Auto IV" with the addition of a grenade launcher, pipe bombs, sawed-off/automatic guns and new vehicles including the motorcycle of 'Johnny Klebitz'.
Premise follows Klebitz, a motorcycle gang member with 'The Lost', who is vice-president and in command while leader 'Billy Grey' is in rehab.
When psycho Billy is released all hell breaks loose, with the two bikers clashing over leadership of the organization while fending off attacks by rival gangs including the 'Angels of Death'...
