Montreal-based Ubisoft introduced the 3D release of James Cameron's "Avatar: The Game" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) in 2009. The company will release this second stereoscopic 3D (S3D) game, again equipped with SENSIO technology, October 24 across North America.
"The gaming experience is very sensitive to image quality, and we know from past collaboration with SENSIO that the company's SENSIO 3D format delivers the highest-quality images, as well as high reliability, ease of integration, and interoperability with leading game consoles," said Patrick Naud, Ubisoft Executive Producer, for "Shaun White Skateboarding".
"...Created in collaboration with the dual-sport super-athlete, 'Shaun White Skateboarding' puts a twist on the action-sports game genre by allowing players to transform a dull, lifeless city into an extraordinary skating utopia. Just by skating around the landscape, players extend handrails into endless grinds, carve alleys into half-pipes, and morph streets into ramps, effectively building their own skating world..."
"We've already seen that stereoscopic 3D brings added value to game titles," said Richard LaBerge, Executive VP, Chief Marketing Officer, SENSIO. "By providing exceptional image quality consistently across both Microsoft and Sony platforms, SENSIO 3D makes high-quality S3D gaming accessible to a broad market segment."
