As Sneak Peek first reported in 2007, Walt Disney Pictures and Bruckheimer Films have now developed a big screen adaptation of the best-selling Ubisoft video game series "Prince of Persia".
Created by Jordan Mechner in 1989 for the Apple II, a unique rotoscoping process was devised at the time, to ensure movements looked authentic for the game's sword-fighting combat play.
After its original release, "Prince of Persia" was ported to a wide range of platforms, including Amiga, Apple Macintosh, DOS, NES, Game Boy, Game Gear, SNES, Sharp X68000, Atari ST, Sam Coupe and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

Actor Jake "Brokeback Mountain" Gyllenhaal stars alongside female lead, actress Gemma "Quantum Of Solace" Arterton.
Production of "Persia" started in Morocco and London, with Mike "Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire" Newell directing from a screenplay by Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard, Boaz Yakin and the game's creator, Jordan Mechner.
Gyllenhaal plays 'Dastan'', a prince in sixth-century Persia who must join forces with 'Tamina' (Arterton), an exotic princess, to prevent a villain from possessing the 'Sands of Time', a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
