In keeping with this week’s colour-themed posts, today’s focus is on fashionable fuchsia. It has always been one of my faves, but with this Spring’s focus on beautiful brights, it has taken center stage in a new and noteworthy way, appearing on everything from scarves to jeans to sky-high stilettos. Whether you are brazen enough to don this hellcat hue from head to toe, or whether you just want to flash a little magenta, the results are striking, and seasonally appropriate.
Channeling the retro 80s vibe, Paper Denim & Cloth has unabashedly assigned this brilliant hue to a stunning pair of skinnies, pictured at upper left and available at chickdowntown.com.
At Intermix, you will find a bevy of brights, but I particularly love this Sete di Jaipur Ikat Scarf. The tie-die and bold color trends dovetail nicely in this lightweight cotton wrap.
On a more traditional note is this floral silk “Jess” sundress by Lauren Moffat, pictured at right available at shopbop.com.
D&G offers the most minuscule of minidresses with just a pop of pink for the ruffled hem - divine! Dress available at neimanmarcus.com.
My picks for Best in Fuchsia, however, are Zac Posen’s Lily Pleated leather bag (left), and Brain Reyes’ Bow Dress (right), both at shopbop.
Remember, lovelies, be bold! Don’t shy away from your urge to pair multiple brights, particularly if they are in the form of accessories. Stay tuned this week for other BRIGHTS and the fab ways to wear them and pair them!
